Background
Prof Declan O'Regan is British Heart Foundation Chair of Cardiovascular AI, an MRC investigator and consultant radiologist. He is also director for imaging research at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and is the co-lead on the Imperial College BHF Centre of Research Excellence.
He has published over 120 peer-reviewed research publications, including in Nature, Nature Cardiovascular Research and Nature Machine Intelligence, and is funded by the MRC, BHF and NIHR. He currently chairs the Publications Committee of the Society of Cardiac MRI. His main interest is in cardiovascular ageing, predicting patient outcomes and discovering the genetic basis of heart function.
