Dr Dolan Basak
Background
Dr Basak qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine, University of London, in 2005. During her undergraduate training, she also completed a Bachelor of Science in Management at Imperial College Business School in 2004.
Dr Basak completed postgraduate training in clinical oncology, gaining experience across several specialist cancer centres, including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, University College London Hospitals (UCLH), The Royal Marsden, Barts Health NHS Trust, Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and the Royal Free Hospital.
In 2017, she was appointed as a consultant clinical oncologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, specialising in colorectal and urological cancers. She is the departmental lead for anal cancer, for which Imperial is the regional specialist centre. She also specialises in stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) for prostate cancer and for oligometastatic disease involving bone and lymph nodes.
