Background
Professor Heer is chair of urology at Imperial College London and provides specialist clinical care for patients with prostate and bladder cancer. He leads large portfolio of national and international research focused on delivering the highest quality of care for patients with urological cancers.
Professor Heer also has a number of national leadership roles, including Deputy Chair for National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment Programme (2022-) and NICE Clinical Guidelines Chairman (2021-).
His NHS work has been recognised with a National Clinical Excellence award from the Department of Health (2021) and he is a member of the national Advisory Committee on Clinical Impact Awards (ACCIA).
