Background

Mr Sanjiv Agarwal obtained his MBBS, MS (Gen Surg) qualifications from India. He undertook urology training in the UK; both FRCS (Gen Surg) and FRCS (Urol). He has had fellowship training in uro-oncology and female urology at the Henry Ford Hospital Detroit, MI USA. He also has a paediatric urology fellowship from the Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

He was appointed consultant urologist in 1997 and has worked in the department of urology at the Trust since 1997 to date. He specialises in functional urology, prostate diseases, LUTS ( lower urinary tract diseases), benign prostate surgery and paediatric urology.

He is involved in training and teaching of urology trainees and medical students as well as participates in clinical research projects.
