Background
Dr Ovaisi qualified from Bart's and The London Hospital in 2002. After successfully completing a medical rotation at Kings College London and obtaining her membership of The Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), Dr Ovaisi decided to pursue a career in general practice. She has completed a postgraduate diploma in dermatology (at Bart's) and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). In addition to her clinical work, Dr Ovaisi was awarded a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) academic fellowship; this combined a master's degree in public health at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with stroke research at St George's University of London.
