Lucy Coe

Director for nursing and midwifery

Lucy joined Imperial College Healthcare Private Care as director of nursing and midwifery in January 2023. She provides strategic, clinical and operational leadership across nursing and midwifery services, supporting teams to deliver exceptional patient care, experience and clinical outcomes.

A registered midwife by background, Lucy has experience across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors. Prior to joining Imperial, her career has included senior clinical and leadership roles within maternity services, including lead midwife positions in workforce development and perinatal mental health, before moving into private healthcare in 2011 where she became lead of a midwifery led care team before progressing into the role of matron for private care across two busy London teaching hospitals, leading a wide range of services including maternity, fertility, paediatrics, outpatient services, medical and surgical inpatient wards and theatres.

Lucy also holds a Master's degree in Advanced Practice.

Lucy is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality and personalised care, ensuring patients and families receive the very best experience throughout their healthcare journey. She is a strong advocate for compassionate leadership, staff development and continuous improvement, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to maintain the highest standards of care across Imperial College Healthcare Private Care.
