Merlyn Marsden

Director of operations

Merlyn joined Imperial College Healthcare Private Care as Director of Operations in March 2024.

Merlyn started her healthcare career in the Department of Health as a project manager before starting at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2009. Merlyn brings extensive operational, managerial and risk management experience working in various operational roles, most recently as the Hospital Director at Charing Cross Hospital.

Merlyn has significant expertise in emergency planning, aiding organisations in preparing for and responding to major incidents at local, regional and national levels. Additionally, Merlyn excels in large-scale event planning within healthcare and in designing patient-centered pathways and processes to ensure outstanding care throughout a patient’s healthcare journey.

Merlyn works collaboratively with our clinical teams to ensure that the patient is at the heart of everything we do and is passionate about ensuring an outstanding private patient experience.
