To help you prepare for your new arrival, we offer a range of antenatal and postnatal classes. These classes are open to everyone, except where noted. We recommend booking you place after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

The Lindo Wing parent education course
The Lindo Wing parent education course, exclusively for parents giving birth at the Lindo Wing, is delivered by our experienced midwives through a weekly two-hour session over a three-week period.
We cover a range of topics during the three sessions. Each session is tailor-made to provide you with all of the information you need throughout your pregnancy, in preparation for your birth at the Lindo Wing and for parenthood.

The journey towards birthing your baby Birthing your baby After you birth Course dates The course is held on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm. There are three sessions over the course of one month, including a break for one week. These classes are held at the Lindo Wing at a cost of £450. Antenatal and postnatal classes: open to everyone
To help you prepare for your new arrival, we offer a range of antenatal and postnatal classes. These classes are open to all to attend (with the exception of the Lindo Wing parent education course and one-to-one lactation support).
We allow a maximum of five couples to book onto each course. Our intimate groups give you, and your birthing partner, time to have in-depth conversations with our midwives and you can also raise any questions or concern. There will also be opportunities to connect and talk with your fellow attendees in every session.
As part of your experience at our antenatal classes, you will be treated to a freshly prepared sandwich, a sweet dessert, a refreshing drink and choice of teas or coffee - all included in the course fee.
Caesarean section workshop (antenatal workshop)
This workshop is specifically designed for people having a planned caesarean section.
The workshop will cover a range of relevant topics. Course dates This is a one-day workshop, it's held every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm. The caesarean section workshop costs £225 to attend. Infant feeding workshop (antenatal workshop)
This two-hour workshop is led by our highly experienced lactation consultant with an emphasis on breaking down the overwhelming amount of information available for new parents.
The session has a focus on the information you need to know about feeding your baby and is ideal for pregnant mothers and parents who have started their feeding journey.

Lactation consultant (postnatal appointment)
Exclusively for parents giving birth at the Lindo Wing or Clayton Ward, we offer a one-to-one consultation with a lactation consultant for new parents who would like personalised support with breastfeeding.

Hypnobirthing workshop (antenatal workshop)
Join us for our hypnobirthing workshop, whether you are a planning a natural birth or may need medical support. This workshop will be a supportive space for you and your birth partner to learn powerful tools for a positive birth experience. This is open to all expectant parents looking for an empowered, mindful birth journey.
You will learn: This workshop is held on the first three Thursdays of each month from 1pm to 4pm. We can also provide bespoke sessions. The hypnobirthing workshop costs £225 to attend. Baby first aid workshop (antenatal workshop)
Join us for our comprehensive baby first aid workshop designed to equip parents and caregivers with essential skills in handling emergency situations involving young infants and babies. Led by our experienced and friendly midwifery team, this workshop offers a perfect blend of an informative presentation and hands-on practical sessions using suitable training dummies.
The key learning points you will cover during workshop are: By the end of the workshop, participants will feel confident and prepared to manage emergency situations involving babies and infants in the safest and most appropriate manner. Baby massage and more workshops (postnatal workshop)
Our baby massage workshop offers parents the skills to use intuitive touch to help soothe your baby and strengthen your bond. The session also covers infant sleeping patterns and feeding support. Our workshop is relaxed, enjoyable and open to all parents.

Booking classes
We recommend that antenatal classes are booked any time after 20 weeks of pregnancy. This gives you an opportunity to think about any questions or concerns you may have leading-up to the birth.
